Tobago 2019 – Three weeks recreation, sport and culture

We love to arrange our holidays individually. Destinations for day trips can therefore be off the beaten track and give us an insight into the local culture. Of course, fun and some sport should not be neglected. In our Tobago travel blog you are very close!

Pigeon Point on Tobago is a dream beach and also perfect for family holidays in the Caribbean.

Three weeks in paradise

Sunset in the Caribbean on Tobago and Trinidad and Tobago.
Beautiful sunsets must not be missing in 2019 either

For our trip in March/April 2019 we decided for the first time to stay for three weeks – a great thing! Unfortunately, this time also flies too fast, so that a well-structured planning of the excursions makes sense. In addition to the distances between the destinations and the duration of the visit, the ideal time of day for the visit often plays a role in the day’s organisation. We have collected a lot of information, which we now share with you here, from various sources on the Internet, travel guides and personal experience reports.

With Condor Non-Stop from Frankfurt to Crown Point / Tobago

The Condor Entertainment program for on-board entertainment. Flight from Frankfurt to Tobago and Trinidad and Tobago. to the Caribbean. A lot of service and entertainment on the direct flight.
The Condor Entertainment Program on Board

As already in the last years we flew again with Condor from Frankfurt to Tobago. Non-stop brought the Boeing 767-300 safely to Crown Point. For a good start to your holiday we recommend the Premium-Economy category or XL-Seats for larger people. The extra charge is rewarded with significantly more legroom. A basic version of the entertainment on board is available to all guests. In the Business Class and Premium Economy classes, the extended service is included in the airfare. Economy class guests can also book the offer for a small surcharge. Significantly more and attractive films make the flight more pleasant this way.

Castara and Buccoo – our perfect mix

We spent the first 1,5 weeks in Castara at Alibaba´s Sea Breeze. The Reef View Apartment in Buccoo was our destination for the second half of the holiday. This is the first time this accommodation has been inhabited and we would like to introduce it to you in detail.

The two places are forever the ideal starting point to explore the island on as short a way as possible. While the north is easy to reach from Castara, the south is easy to reach from Buccoo.

Explore the island individually and with a guide

UOur travel blog is an experience report about a holiday on Tobago in the Caribbean and Trinidad and Tobago. Find out everything about excursions, sightseeing, day trips, guides and rental cars in our travel report.
Of course we were on the road with horses again

Since we want to have an authentic picture of life on Tobago and the sights, we like to have a guide as our companion. With Katharina Dumas from TobagoTours (www.tobagotours.de) we have found a professional and reliable person, who convinces us again and again with great routes.

TobagoTours helps with the planning and execution of excursions to Tobago and Trinidad and Tobago. Also for cruise shore leave, sightseeing and day trip.
Katharina Dumas of TobagoTours was again a great help

In addition to booking fixed tours, Katharina also offers the opportunity to plan your day individually. The trip to the destinations is full of anecdotes and exciting information about the island. At every moment you can feel her years of experience on Tobago and her passion for culture. As a guest, you quickly have the feeling that you can feel life on the island with your own hands.

Destinations in 2019 include the Corbin Local Wildlife with a subsequent visit to Shore Things Cafe and Tobago Chocolate Delight as well as the Greenhill Waterfall and Richmond Great House.

On the water and also sometimes sporty on the way

Snorkel with the Catamaran Picante on Tobago along the coast. Our first trip with a catamaran in the Caribbean
With the catamaran we have explored the Caribbean coast

We will also report on the activities that we have researched and booked ourselves. Be curious about our experiences on the mountain bike, a boat tour with snorkeling and BBQ with Alibaba Tours as well as a great day on a catamaran. A very special experience is the “Bioluminescence Tour” with a kayak in the darkness.

We give a lot of information on the way, which will hopefully make the planning a little easier for you. As always: If you have any questions just contact us – we will be happy to help or share our opinion with you!

PS: The recommendations in our Tobago travel blog  are based exclusively on our personal experience, conviction and opinion. The reports are therefore not paid content. Nevertheless we mark the contents due to the current legal situation as “advertisement”.
